Associate of Arts: Business

Award: Associate of Arts Degree
Length: Four Semesters—Available On Campus & Online
Students may start any semester

Many students are unsure of whether they would like two or four years of college before starting their careers. These programs meet both of those needs. You can enter the work force directly after graduation or transfer to a four-year college or university. (If you are thinking about transferring, we encourage you to communicate with the institution of your choice about transfer requirements.)

If you enjoy interacting with other people and you have a mind for numbers, you might consider a career in business. The business world is full of opportunities. In fact, one-third of all jobs are related to the field of business.

NCC’s Business program allows you to choose from two areas of concentration:
• Management
• Financial/Insurance Services

Where will I get a job?
Graduates could work in banks, insurance offices, or industrial firms.

How much $ will I make?

$25,000–$33,000 a year. Many students will find themselves in employment that is based on commission.

What kind of classes will I take?

It is a combination of lecture, discussion, case studies, and presentations. Classes are often very informal with questions and group discussion encouraged.

What’s unique about this program?
This program allows the student to choose from two areas of concentration. It allows students to go on for their 4 year degree, or graduate after two years and begin work.
