Write your own story at Northwest Iowa Community College...

When you step foot through the doors of NCC, you’re really enrolling in your first “College Life” experience. NCC staff and faculty are with you every step of the way, because your success is really our success. So go ahead and be yourself! Get involved with things you know you like to do or try something is the time to go for it!

Northwest Iowa Community College offers two smart options: Technical programs or Arts and Sciences transfer courses available on campus or online.

Ability... Talent... Handiness...
In the Career and Technology programs at Northwest Iowa Community College, we talk a lot about skills, not so much about textbooks or term papers. If you choose to be in one of our technical programs, you'll learn that your success is all about the hands-on skills you get while you're here. You'll work on equipment in labs that are state-of-the-art. You'll be guided by instructors who have been out there in the real world. They'll teach you what you need to know.

So whether you're interested in auto body or powerline; maybe you want to be a mechanic, an electrician or a machinist or an administrative secretary; if welding, CAD drafting, construction technology, or heavy equipment is more your style, you'll find it at NCC. We'll prepare you for the workforce. You'll graduate with solid skills and abilities that will land you a job with the confidence to make good decisions with your career.

Start here - then transfer
Northwest Iowa Community College also offers Arts and Sciences transfer programs. NCC has many seamless transfer agreements with Colleges and Universities like: Iowa State University, University of Iowa, Briar Cliff University, Dordt College and Northwestern College, just to name a few! It makes sense to start here by taking the basic core courses for one or two years. You'll save a lot of money, stay closer to home and then you can transfer to a 4-year college or university. Want to be an accountant or a teacher? Maybe you want to be a human resource manager or physician. It's all within your reach when you choose NCC.

In demand
Over the past five years, NCC's total college employment rate has averaged 98 percent. Many of our highly skilled specialist programs have consistently had 100 percent employment success for their graduates. The NCC Placement Office offers lifetime placement assistance for its graduates.
